I ran apt upgrade some time ago and after that, my bluetooth mouse and keyboard does no longer connect automatically when logging into KDE. It is solved pretty simple by turning off bluetooth and then turning it on again.. Some of the latest packages I consider being relevant was: linux-firmware or OVMF maybe? STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Upgrade to the latest packages in KDE neon 2. Reboot 3. Login using laptops keyboard External bluetooth keyboard and mouse no longer works Expected that devices worked as before upding. Operating System: KDE neon 6.3 KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.14.0 Qt Version: 6.9.0 Kernel Version: 6.11.0-26-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 24 × Intel® Core™ i7-14650HX Memory: 31,1 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor 1: Intel® Graphics Graphics Processor 2: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU Graphics Processor 3: llvmpipe Manufacturer: LENOVO Product Name: 21N5 System Version: ThinkBook 16p G5 IRX
Now it seems as the behaviour has changes, because not only does it not connect at boot. But now, is suddenly disconnects the devices and sometimes the bluetooth turns of and then on, thereby disconnecting, and not connecting the devices again. This issue is not seen in windows, so it does not to me, look like a hardware issue
Created attachment 182512 [details] output from syslog And now it happened for the 3.rd time since I updated the ticket last. So it is almost each 5 minutes, rendering my computer unusable since my input devices are bluetooth only :-(
I just reinstalled from scratch and this fixed the issue. So, I'm not sure what to do with the issue now.
I can't repro with Plasma 6.5.4 + Frameworks 6.21 + QT 6.10.1 + bluez 5.85 + Linux 6.18 . In fact, I have the opposite problem: there's no UI to disable autoconnect for a device once it's paired ;-) Since the original reporter is also unable to reproduce, I propose closing as WORKSFORME.
