Description Ralf Wiegmann 2025-06-12 09:23:42 UTC
SUMMARY
Since mid-May 2025, the sort order in kdewallet's list view has been lost. Core dumps from kwalletmanager are regularly displayed in the journal. The system occasionally freezes for a few seconds.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
After logging into the system and starting the KDE desktop, launch kdewallet.

OBSERVED RESULT
The objects in List-View of kdewallet are displayed in a random order. The order changes after each system boot.
Core dumps of kwallet6 and kwalletmanager5 are documented in the journal at each system boot.
The system occasionally freezes, probably during the core dumps.

EXPECTED RESULT
Alphabetical list view and no coredumps.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Opensuse Tumbleweed 20250610
KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.14.0
Qt Version: 6.9.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The behavior repeats itself with each new system start.

Sorting is duplicate of bug 504659.
"Core dumps" is not actionable without the backtraces, and should be reported separately. Some of those crashes are already reported in other tickets.
