Description Matthias Mueller 2025-06-10 10:53:45 UTC
SUMMARY
Screen enumeration in the Quick Options menu is kind of erratic here. Sometimes, it's screen 0+1, the next boot it is screen 1+2, thus making positioning of yakuake unreliable.
I don't experience any issues with screen ordering/placement in general, so i assume it's a yakuake-specific implementation that is causing the issue. Maybe adopt the Plasma-provided screen-names instead?

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select a screen in Quick Options
2. Reboot
3. Maybe reboot again (although it happens pretty much on almost every boot for me)

OBSERVED RESULT
yakuake opens on the other screen compared to the one set in the last session

EXPECTED RESULT
Positioning staying persistent across boots ;)

https://invent.kde.org/utilities/yakuake/-/merge_requests/140 makes the screen indexing based on the screen priority in Plasma
