SUMMARY
old problem I noticed at least a year ago but had no tie to report. Origin: openSUSE Tumbleweed freshly updated

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. select some text
2. Drag it to the desktop
3. a note open with the text in it, nice, it have to work like this, BUT
4. Drag it the desktop *on an other monitor/screen*, the note open but empty. You have to copy/paste the text

OBSERVED RESULT
the note open empty

EXPECTED RESULT
the note open with the text in it

Workaround (just found!)
drag to the same desktop where the note is filled
move the note to the other screen

I can reproduce that issue.
Comment 2 Jean-Daniel Dodin 2025-08-01 11:18:21 UTC
I just notice the following:

not being able to paste in the note, I create a new text file. The content of the clipboard come in as file name!

and just now if I drag the text to the same screen as firefox the note is empty, but if I drag it on the other screen it works: text in inside the note Opposite working from what I has previously (Tumbleweed recently updated)

curious :-)

thanks
