Created attachment 182062 [details] screenshot of firefox config option SUMMARY Set focus to newly opened tab. option in config. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Middleclick on a folder or 'place' to open it in a new tab 2. 3. OBSERVED RESULT the location opens in a new tab, but has no focus to it. EXPECTED RESULT thelocation opens in a new tab and has focus to it. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: EndeavourOS KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.14.0 Qt Version: 6.9.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Would be great to have this option in the Konqueror settings. Like firefox. See attached screenshot.
Either I'm not understanding the situation you're describing or I can't reproduce the issue. What I did is the following: - open Konqueror - enter a directory in the location bar (for example, ~), which displays it in the Dolphin part - middle click on a directory What happens is that the directory is opened in a new tab, that tab is made active and it gets focus (for example, pressing the right arrow, selects the second file or directory). Note that it may look not having focus as when the view is opened, there's no selected item. I think that is related to the Dolphin part, however, since the same happens in Dolphin.
I'm sorry maybe I did not explain that well. So I added some images. 1. go to homefolder see attached konq-before.png 2. in the main area middle-click on 'pictures'. It opens in a new tab, but it does not become the active tab. There is no focus to it yet. see attached konq-after.png 3. desired outcome. see attached konq-desired.png This is another issue, but middle-click does not work from most of the side-bar tabs.

Are you sure you don't have the option "Open new tabs in the background" (in the "tabs behavior" page) turned on? What you see looks like what I get if I turn it on and what you want is what I have when I turn it off.
