In the native version available on Ubuntu, Ark recognizes that it has support for rar and you can enable or disable it in the settings, but in the Snap version, even though it is supposedly enabled in the list, it does not work. Basically, the options that are in the extensions list, but cannot be disabled, are not working. In addition, Ark does not have the "removable-media" plug, which is preventing it from accessing files that are not on the same disk as the system is installed. The Ark version is 25.04.1 and the Snap revision is 82 The components it says it uses are: KDE Frameworks 6.11.0 QT 6.8.3 Ubuntu Core 24
A possibly relevant merge request was started @ https://invent.kde.org/utilities/ark/-/merge_requests/293
(In reply to Bug Janitor Service from comment #1) > A possibly relevant merge request was started @ > https://invent.kde.org/utilities/ark/-/merge_requests/293 They wrote the plug wrong, it should be "removable-media" but they wrote "removeable-media"
Is merged.
FWIW the typo has been fixed in https://invent.kde.org/utilities/ark/-/merge_requests/294, which is in version 25.08

An error window appears saying that the extraction failed and tells me to check if there is enough space.
