Description brutalnumberboy 2025-06-01 08:48:43 UTC
SUMMARY

The page count of an EPUB document viewed in Okular is not dynamically changed with the font size which leads to an incomplete document with missing pages or a document with extra empty pages

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open any EPUB book in Okular (You can download a book from Project Guthenberg)
2. Navigate to Settings -> Configure Backends -> EPUB and increase font size (must be bigger than default value)
3. Click on chapters in "Contents" sidebar (Okular will open the correct page but it will not be an actual chapter)
4. Navigate to settings again but now set value to smaller than the default one
5. Scroll down to the end of the document

OBSERVED RESULT

Increasing the font size cuts off pages of the file. Decreasing the font size leaves empty pages.

EXPECTED RESULT

The page count adjust dynamically based on the font size
