SUMMARY Use explicit verb for operation which moves the selected image to the trash bin. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Click "Trash", thinking this takes you to the trash folder. OBSERVED RESULT Current image gets moved to trash. EXPECTED RESULT You are taken to the trash folder. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Gwenview: 25.04.1 KDE Frameworks: 6.14.0 Qt: Using 6.9.0 and built against 6.9.0 Manjaro Linux (Xcb) Build ABI: x86_64-little_endian-lp64 Kernel: linux 6.14.6-2-MANJARO ADDITIONAL INFORMATION While the word "trash" could be a verb, other KDE applications, such as Dolphin, do not use it in that sense. There, "Trash" is a place, and the verb used to label the button which moves a file to trash is explicitly "Move to trash", no confusion there. Gwenview would be wise to follow suite.
While I personally think it's relatively intuitive that a button in the "File Operations" section labeled "Trash", in a program like Gwenview, is going to place the currently-viewed item in the Trash, I do agree that it would be clearer and more consistent to label it the same way as in Dolphin, KFind, etc. Thanks!
