SUMMARY On the lock screen, user avatar is shown as a square image instead of in a circular border when waking up from sleep. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. In the System Settings, set Screen Locking -> Lock Screen Automatically: 'X' minutes, Lock after waking from sleep is checked; Power Management -> When Inactive: 'Sleep' after 'X' minutes (X minutes is the same in both settings). 2. Wait for automatic suspend 3. Wake up the machine OBSERVED RESULT User avatar is shown as a square image without a border on the lock screen EXPECTED RESULT User avatar is shown with a circular border SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 6.14.9-arch1-1 KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.91 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.14.0 Qt Version: 6.9.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I first noticed this in Plasma 6.3.5, then updated to the beta (6.3.91) and am still experiencing this issue.
That typically means we've fallen back to software rendering. Are you on an nvidia machine?
I'm running on an Intel HD Graphics 520 iGPU - I don't have a dGPU. I'm certain that the desktop is running hardware accelerated, although I don't know if the screen locker is any different.
Also want to clarify that this behavior appears only after waking up from and auto-idle suspend. If I manually suspend my laptop, the avatar displays properly.

Sorry, I didn't realize that I was supposed to change the status of the bug report (it's my first time). Updated status to Reported.
Are you using the Plasma X11 session, or the Wayland session? Does the issue happen consistently on both session types, or just one? Can you post your full hardware details? Info Center has a "Copy Details" button you can use to collect these quickly.
(In reply to Nate Graham from comment #6) > Are you using the Plasma X11 session, or the Wayland session? Wayland > Does the issue happen consistently on both session types, or just one? Every time on Wayland. Reproduces ~50% of the time on X11. > Can you post your full hardware details? Info Center has a "Copy Details" > button you can use to collect these quickly. Sounds GPU driver related. This is likely not a KDE issue, but I'm moving it to KWin since the folks there who have more expertise in this area can finish triaging it and point you in the right direction if it's indeed a driver issue.
