Description Rick 2025-05-22 19:10:17 UTC
SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect a Bluetooth speaker and set it as default audio device from KDE's panel
2. Start a playlist of songs.
3. Notice how whenever the song changes, the audio is no longer played from the Bluetooth speaker but from another device.

OBSERVED RESULT
Audio of all subsequent songs are not playing on default playback device

EXPECTED RESULT
Audio keeps getting played trough the chosen default playback device

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
(available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window)
Linux/KDE Plasma: 42
KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.14.0
Qt Version: 6.9.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Weirdness is also observed without the Bluetooth speaker, but less frequently. I.e. on song change using a regular wired speaker, sometimes I will need to use the seek bar to actually get an audio output.

Hi - Merging this in with the existing report for the issue. For what it's worth, the other issue referenced in the Additional Information section also has an existing report, https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=503408 . Thanks!
