SUMMARY OBSERVED RESULT When saving a project in Kdenlive it is hard to tell if it actually has saved, that's why I want to suggest a simple pop-up box that says something like "Saving Project" each time a project is saved so you know it has saved. Another thing I want to suggest (still important but don't need this as much as other suggestion) is that on start up there is a type of "Welcome Screen" that show your latest projects so you can easily click on the one you were working on and get started with it. EXPECTED RESULT I would highly appreciate if these changes could be make to upcoming versions as they will enhance the user experience and software entirely. I'm sure these are relatively easy suggestions to implement but other then that I appreciate how hard you guys work to make this software good! When the project file is changed, an asterisk (*) appears right next to the project name in the window title bar. When the project was saved the asterisk disappears. I agree with you that a status bar message would help or be more user friendly. But keep in mind that even with large projects the .kdenlive project files are very small, and in this day and age with SSDs and caching saving a small file happens in fractions of seconds and a message would flash so quickly users may easily miss it.

I see, maybe then instead of having a progress bar showing it saving just have a little message box saying "Project Saved" that disappears after like 5 seconds. But thanks for letting me know :)
You can already show a popup message on save. Go to Settings > Configure Notifications. You have an entry " Saving successful". Select it and enable popup message or sound (I think sound notifications don't work on Windows)
