SUMMARY
In the people/faces section "Unbestätigt" (Not Yet Confirmed ?) you need to confirm every single face and cannot multi-select and confirm many faces that were correctly recognized at once

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have the face of the same person recognized on several pictures by the face-recognition software for the same person but not yet confirmed
2. go to the "people" (or faces ?) section in Digikam -> "Not yet confirmed "(in German: "unbestätigt")
3.  You need to confirm face by face and cannot confirm several correctly recognized faces as one.

You can select multiple identical (importantly only identical) faces and confirm them with the active overlay.

Select multiple identical faces to confirm. The widget overlay will be active over one of them, just like with a single confirmation. Confirming this widget overlay confirms all selected faces.
