Created attachment 181406 [details] Screenshot Filelight shows files that do not even exist. I am wondering if these are showing in Filelight due to it not understanding BTRFS and maybe old deleted files are showing up there? See screenshot showing Konsole, Dolphin and Filelight showing the same folder. File .somehiddenfile added to show that hidden files are being displayed.
It looks like it's showing an entirely older snapshot version of that folder - files in the current version that are big enough to appear within that list, like 20250517_1001_nextcloud.log.0, aren't appearing, either. I'm guessing "Rescan" didn't change this? Were there any terminal/journal entries when loading that folder? How was Filelight started and pointed at that folder?
I installed Filelight from Flathub. Started it from Kickoff. Clicked Choose Folder on the welcome page and then selected my home folder. I've tried to reproduce the issue and now can't. The logs folder shows the right amount of data/files. What would I be looking for in the journal?
Ah yeah - in the journal, I was just wondering if there were any unique messages from either filelight itself or something xdg-desktop-portal related when it was triggering? Are there maybe any other folders with a similarly high churn of files that could show the issue?
