Description Ron Veetrill 2025-05-16 21:51:25 UTC
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use the lock screen function, or let it get locked by itself.
2. Enter your user's password.
3. Press Enter or click the ">" button at the password field.

OBSERVED RESULT
Sometimes (not always) it ignores my attempts to submit a password. It doesn't throw any error, just shows no reaction. As if it simply ignores me pressing Enter or clicking the ">" button.

EXPECTED RESULT
Entering the correct password and pressing Enter (or clicking the ">" button) should always unlock the screen successfully.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.14.0
Qt Version: 6.9.0
Linux Kernel Version: 6.14.6-arch1-1 (64-bit)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
As far as I saw, all the other UI elements on the lock screen seem to be working fine. Though I have to test it more thoroughly once I encounter this bug again.
For now, I can bypass this bug by clicking the "Switch User" button, which drops me back to SDDM — and over there it never fails to accept password from me, returning me back to my session.
