Description Bart De Ceulaer 2025-05-16 15:27:38 UTC
When I save a file, for instance when downloading a file via Firefox or any other browser, the new File Dialog appears. When I paste a string in the "Name" field, the field sometimes does not get the clipboard string as content, but becomes empty, or gets an older value from the clipboard.
Possible cause = if there is a space or carriage return at the beginning of the pasted string.

What do you mean by "the new file dialog"? Can you attach a screenshot of what it looks like? I wonder if you're actually using the GNOME dialog due to a system misconfiguration, packaging problem, or app update.
Comment 2 Bart De Ceulaer 2025-05-16 17:14:58 UTC
Probably in the latest Opensuse update, there was a misconfiguration or wrong packaging which causes Firefox and Brave to use Gnome File Dialogs instead of KDE Dialogs.
So this is not related to frameworks-kio.
