Created attachment 181217 [details] screenshot showing the little margin between the rightmost icon and the edge of the widget, which is wider than the distance between icons or between the bottom side and the icon I have a visual issue that is kinda annoying and could be improved. Kickoff holds multiple flexibly adapting things: the favourites icons and the logout/suspend/shutdown etc. options. They appear and are rearranged depending on the size. But -- especially visible with the favourites icons -- for them to appear, the user must resize the widget a bit over the required limit. So there is always a small gap between the rightmost icon and the border of the widget. I attach an image to show this. There is a slight misalignment Proposal: dont make kickoff dynamically resizable, but snap to a multiple of the width of the icons. So when resizing, the window snaps in the right position to fit one more icon (taller or wider), without this odd resizing. Challenges: not sure if this is possible with Qt or requires major changes. This would also apply for apps like Dolphin, where this behavior would make a lot of sense.
I'm afraid we can't really do snap-resizing like you've proposed, sorry; it's not technically feasible.
