I've tried to reproduce it with 6.4.4

However, somehow my applets now always touch the right corner. Nevertheless, I've added a new Devices widget left of to the system tray and tried to resize it and there's another weird issue in this case:

The applet doesn't resize, but the content shifts to the opposite site.

Besides that, the original symptoms seems to have improved: The shadow is no longer cut off, but the rounded corner still becomes edgy.

* Once the content shifts out of the view.
