SUMMARY When using KDEConnect SMS, all messages in a chat are populated. When I attempt to send a message (hitting enter) the message disappears from the UI, does not send, and is gone. There is no indication in the UI that the message failed, nor are there any useful logging. The message disappears from the UI STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Type a message in an SMS conversation 2. Press Enter 3. Observe your text message has been lost in Narnia without a trace OBSERVED RESULT No SMS is sent and the message disappears. EXPECTED RESULT Send the message, or provide useful log messages for debugging, and keep the message in the text UI rather than silently failing SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.13.0 Qt Version: 6.9.0 Kernel Version: 6.14.5-arch1-1-znver4 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland
was able to reproduce it.. however, after changing the chat it works.. and this happens only for the first chat/contact

Thank you for taking the time to report this. I am surprised that there is not already a bug for this. This has been a day-one bug with KDE Connect SMS that I have never been able to iron out. The particular symptom I have noticed is that any time the device connection is lost, you must re-open the conversion before messages can be sent.
I actually make a script in bash that resets KDE connect to fix this. Nothing exciting, but it KDE connect is the program I need to work to use Linux 100% of the time.
