Debian 12.8 clean install

sudo apt install digikam

Installs 7.9.0

check for upgrade...

error transferring https://download.kde.org/stable/digikam/8.6.0/digikam-8.6.0-x86-64.appimage.sha256 -server replied: Not Found

Yes, this only works correctly with a more recent digiKam version installed.

One more note, the update download is not for an installed deb package, but only for our AppImage or Windows/macOS bundle.
