SUMMARY
Can reproduce in a new user, in both master and 6.3.4.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. git clone https://github.com/jinliu/plasma-applet-background-apps
2. cd plasma-applet-background-apps
3. git checkout 578ddf
4. kpackagetool6 -t Plasma/Applet --install src/package
5. systray - config - disable or enable "Background Apps".

OBSERVED RESULT
plasmashell hangs for a few seconds then crashes.

Kernel Version: 6.14.4-arch1-2 (64-bit)
