Description James Richard Tyrer 2002-11-08 02:02:31 UTC
Version: 0.95 (using KDE KDE 3.0.9)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: GCC 3.2 Compiler built from source
OS: Linux

When using: Focus Strictly Under Mouse

I right click the title bar in the window with focus and the context menu flashes for a second and disapears. Or, depending on where on the title bar that I click, it stays open until I move the mouse into it and then it disapears.

The same thing happens if I left click the menu button on the title bar.

It only affects this focus mode. All others no problem.

Fixing this will need to include also fixing things in bug #51973 .

Comment 4 Toby Driscoll 2003-01-31 20:16:31 UTC
I see the same behavior as in 51973: I get the menus but can't do anything with
them. (I built 3.1 using konstruct on 28 Jan.)

I have the same problem (menu appears for a moment, then disappears) with focus
strictly under mouse. With other focus models menu seems to work fine.

I don't see this with HEAD using FUM or FSUM. Please provide your entire focus
settings so they can be compared.

FSUM. I can see the bug there for kde-3.1.1/qt-3.1.2.

I'm not running HEAD, I'm running 3.1.0.

Focus settings:

Focus Strictly Under Mouse

No Auto raise
No Click Raise

Walk through windows mode KDE
No Traverse windows on all desktops
Yes Desktop navigation wraps around
No Popup desktop name on desktop switch

Am now running kde-3.1.2/qt-3.1.2
The bug appears to have suddenly disappeared! I am using focus strictly under mouse,
and the context menu on the title bar seems now to work as expected.

Same experience here. Using kde-3.1.2/qt-3.1.2 on SuSE 8.0 (compiled from
source). I am using focus strictly under mouse. The context menu on title
bar works properly. I suppose the bug can be closed now.

Comment 13 James Richard Tyrer 2003-05-24 01:42:30 UTC
I confirm that this is fixed in 3.1.2 so I am closing this.
