SUMMARY
Opening the sidebar while filtering results via search is active results in a stuttering animation. Looking at `top` confirms that the stuttering appears to be coming from too much work on the UI thread.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. search for e.g. "sad"
2. open the sidebar

OBSERVED RESULT
The animation when opening the sidebar stutters.

EXPECTED RESULT
Smooth animation.

Fedora KDE Plasma Edition 42
