SUMMARY Deleting application from application launcher does not delete application from application search. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Right click application launcher -> edit applications 2. click on a named application -> click delete from the title bar 3. Save configuration from the title bar 4. Launch application launcher and search for name of deleted application OBSERVED RESULT When application search is launched, deleted application still shows up. EXPECTED RESULT When application search is launched, application does not show up. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Aurora 41 KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.13.0 Qt Version: 6.8.2 Kernel Version: 6.13.8-200.fc41.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The .desktop file in .local/share/applications is not deleted, probably leading to the application launcher still finding it.
If it's a system-wide app that you delete, it has to overwrite it at a user level. Does the .desktop file contain a Hidden=true? That should make it ignore the file. Wonder why it's not working.
