Description erentar2002 2025-04-28 13:02:34 UTC
It is not possible to add a custom alarm sound.

The default alarm sound used by Clock happens to fall in my hearing damage range and i am unable to hear it.

An option to add a custom sound should be added.

When you click on the add new Alarm or when you click on the one you already created (to edit it) at the bottom you will see Ring sound option where you can change the sound of the alarm. There are predefined sounds and you can use a file.

This works for the Alarm, but as I can see, there is no option for customizing the timer sound, so if this solves your alarm sound issue, we can update the ticket to refer to the timer sound

Hey erentar2002, it would be great if you could answer the question about the bug.

Moving back to reported so it's not closed automatically.

Can't reproduce the OP's issue, it works on my end, but I noticed that there is no way to add custom sound for timers which might be a good feature to implement.

Moving this one to resolved since, as Filip mentioned, the ability to choose a custom alarm sound does exist, and the timer side of this has its own bug report: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=503967

Thanks!
