When you open a new playlist it overrides the old one.
For Example:
I have saved multiple playlist as .m3u (or m3u8) let’s say series1.m3u & series2.m3u
I spend some time watching episodes of series1.m3u then in the middle of that i go to series2.m3u
When I go back to series1.m3u It start playing from the first episode. It doesn’t remember which episode i was. 

You could also count it as a feature.

Hi - merged this with an existing feature request that accomplishes what it sounds like the goal is here, of moving between multiple playlists without restarting.
