Description Rafael 2025-04-26 10:32:36 UTC
SUMMARY
Yakuake is not properly displaying on my main display (1 of 3 displays). Linux distro is Fedora 42 KDE spin off, downloaded and installed today from Fedora website, fresh installation. From my tests, it's not displaying properly on displays with custom scaling when they are preceded by another display with scaling 100%. My current displays configuration:
- left: 1920x1080, scaling 100% (priority 3)
- middle: 3840x2160, scaling 125%, primary display (priority 1)
- right: 2560x1440, scaling 100%

Only disabling LEFT display solves the issue.

Also yakuake option screen "At mouse location" is not working at all, defaults always to previously used display by yakuake.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Meet requirements: Fedora 42 KDE, left display with 1080p and scaling 100%, display on the right 4k with 125% scaling
2. Try to open yakuake (for example by selecting screen) on right display with custom scaling

OBSERVED RESULT
yakuake window is either broken (partially visible or/and glitched out) or always displays yakuake on left display

EXPECTED RESULT
yakuake window should be fully visible on right screen without glitches

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Fedora Linux 42
KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.13.0
Qt Version: 6.9.0
Kernel Version: 6.14.3-300.fc42.x86_64 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 24 × AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor
Memory: 62.7 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
It might make a difference (fe. steam fails to run on 2 gpu system before I isolated the second GPU to vfio), but my OS has a second GPU that is not reported above RX 6700XT. That GPU is isolated to kernel driver VFIO, so host machine cannot interact with it.

I've recorded issue on yt: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXYdsm7tx6A
top left screen is 4k 125% scaling, yakuake screen 1
top right is 1440p 100% scaling, yakuake screen 3
bottom left is 1080p 100% scaling, yakuake screen 2
