Description Laurita elen Martins 2025-04-25 16:16:02 UTC
I'm using Krita on a Samsung tablet running Android 14 (One UI 6), and the app is completely unable to save or open any files. Every time I try to save a file — either in internal storage or SD card — the file is created with 0 bytes. It also refuses to open any Krita files, even ones created and copied from other devices.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a new document.

2. Attempt to save it anywhere (internal storage or SD card).

3. Check file size — 0 bytes.

4. Try to open any .kra file — Krita says it can't open the file.

Additional info:

App has full storage permissions.

Issue persists even after reinstalling the app.

Same problem reported by other users in the community.

Tested on multiple storage locations.

No workaround found so far.

This bug makes the app unusable on Android at the moment.

Hey, in Krita there are a few logs that you can attach. Could you please try saving the file and then attaching the log file, it should be accessible in Help -> Show krita log for bug reports and other logs would also be helpful.
