Version: 1.3.2 (using KDE KDE 1.2) Installed from: Debian stable Packages OS: Linux As an old-time mutt user I am used to storing all mails to their own folders after reading them. When I press 's' in mutt, it asks which folder to store in, with a default that comes from the address of the sender. Normally I just accept that. So, saving mails away is a two-keystroke operation. With Kmail I have to pull down Message/MoveTo/Server/Folder, and choose from a list of 200 folders. This is far too slow and cumbersome. Could you not add a function Save-To-Named-Folder, that would ask for the folder (with suitable default value (heikki@lsd.dk -> folderpath/heikki). I would be satisfied if this feature was not in the menus, as long as I could tie a keystroke to it.
I had a similar gripe about kmail, from my habbit of quickly saving messages to folders using pine's S command. A kmail developer kindly pointed out to me that in kmail you can use M to Move a message to a folder. A list of folders pops up, and as you type the first few letters of the folder it incrementally moves to the one you want. It's fairly nicely done I think.
But unfortunately moving messages with M is not that convenient, see Bug 49780: most recently used targets for Move To/Copy To wanted Bug 78234: Move Dialog needs to remember collapsed folder states and here typing the name of the folder does nothing at all.
Hmm, I don't see your point.
