SUMMARY Kate forgets list of open files when switching to Plasma Wayland and back. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Use a Plasma X11 session. 2. In System Settings, configure Plasma session to automatically restore applications from previous session. 3. Start Kate. 4. Open a few text files in Kate. 5. Logout. 6. Start a new Plasma Wayland session. (Observation: Kate automatically starts and opens the same files from previous X11 session.) 7. Logout. 8. Start a new Plasma X11 session. OBSERVED RESULT Kate automatically starts, but looks like a fresh start: it doesn't open the files from previous session. EXPECTED RESULT Kate should automatically start and open the same files from previous Plasma Wayland session. I would assume that is an issue in the Plasma desktop session management (if that is at all supported).
