Created attachment 180526 [details] Reset button icon (highlighted in red rectange) is in opposite direction (it is pointing in LTR direction as for reset/undo) SUMMARY Reset button icon is in opposite direction in RTL language system. It should be pointing to the right side. See image attached for the button. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open System settings 2. go for example, mouse settings 3. look at the reset button OBSERVED RESULT Reset button icon is in opposite direction (it is pointing in LTR) EXPECTED RESULT Reset button icon is pointing towards the right. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora Linux 41 KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.12.0 Qt Version: 6.8.2
Confirmed in Fedora 42, Plasma 6.3.4 In git-master the icon is to the left of the text (correct) but is still pointing in the wrong direction (as in the screenshot)
We do have a RTL version of this icon in the Breeze icon theme, so it looks like System Settings needs to use it.
Created attachment 180562 [details] How it is supposed to look like Hey, I added a new attachment on how the icon should've looked like, thanks.
Any updates seems like an "easy fix"? Thanks.
Please be patient. Most folks who work on KDE are volunteers who have jobs, families and lives. When someone has the skill and time to look at this, they will.
I'll work on this. I just did another RTL thing, so I've got the context on the brain already. Hopefully should no more than a week or two. Regardless, the change won't show up on your machine until Plasma 6.6.
TraceyC, I understand. I saw Nate tackling this same issue in another bug report, and already did some work, so I wanted to add a reminder while he still has the solution at his mind. Thanks and good luck. Nate, great thanks a lot for your time.
