SUMMARY I get extremely confused by the notification history if I have more than a few notifications in there. I guess it sorts it by app, grouping all notifications by the app sender and then sorts them from oldest to newest, which is 1. Extremely confusing, 2. Very inconvenient. It's confusing because from "Notification history" I would expect it to be chronologically sorted from newest to oldest. It's very inconvenient because if I missed something I can't just open the history and see what I missed, instead I have to scroll down and check last notifications of every app (or just scroll to the bottom if there's a lot of notification from one app) STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Get a bunch of notifications from different apps at different times 2. Open notification history using the tray icon or the widget OBSERVED RESULT Notifications are grouped by app sender and sorted top to bottom from oldest to newest EXPECTED RESULT Notifications are sorted from top to bottom, from newest to oldest, so by opening notification history one can see the last notifications they missed without hassle. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.12.0 Qt Version: 6.9.0 Kernel Version: 6.14.2-zen1-1-zen (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 12 × AMD Ryzen 5 5600H with Radeon Graphics Memory: 13.5 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor 1: AMD Radeon Graphics Graphics Processor 2: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I can see this being useful, especially with a more critical notification like for an important email or when the system says you have security updates waiting It would also help accessibility, for sight impaired folks, being able to quickly locate the most recent notifications if that helps them
