STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Ensure kate not installed via apt
2. Install kate snap via app center, or snap command

OBSERVED RESULT
Kate application has a place holder, gear, icon for application icon on dash.

EXPECTED RESULT
Kate application has kate icon.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
OS: Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS
OS Type: 64 bit
Desktop: Gnome 46
Windowing system: X11
kernel Version: Linux 6.11.0-24-generic
Kate 25.04.0 (but this has been a problem with other kate versions installed via snap, and also Ubuntu 22)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
If I install kate via "apt install kate" then I have both the versions, the one installed by apt and the snap. Once I do this both versions have the kate icon.
