This is indeed the right place to report bugs. Please fill out the template in the bug report: SUMMARY STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. 2. 3. Hi TracyC I can't find how to open and edit the template, so have filled in text here: SUMMARY Window Behaviour Alt Middle Click set to move but not raise, still raises the window STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Window Behaviour - Window Actions - Inner Window, Titlebar and Frame Action 2. Set Alt Midle Click to move window only ( not raise ), Click Apply 3. Midle click a lowered/window underneath another window to try and move it, the lowered window is raised. OBSERVED RESULT window is raised. EXPECTED RESULT window can be Alt-middle click dragged without being raised above other windows. ( as it used to in older Plasma ) SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Debian GNU/Linux 12 KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.11.0 Qt Version: 6.8.2 Kernel Version: 6.12.22-amd64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 12 × AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 6-Core Processor Memory: 30.4 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor 1: AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT Graphics Processor 2: AMD Radeon Graphics Is that was is needed?
(In reply to richEQ from comment #2) > Is that was is needed? Yes, thanks for providing that. I can reproduce this in git-master with either the Alt or Meta modifier key "Resize" also raises windows The default of "Toggle raise and lower" works as expected

I think without embarking on a C++ course, there's not a lot more I can help with? Rich
One of the more experienced kwin maintainers will take it from here.
Just confirming this. It's been bugging me since the update to 6.3 I believe. I much prefer the Move only option, I don't want to set focus to the window.
I came to report this problem, but I see it already was. So I will just confirm it both in "Move" and in "Resize" actions. I just hope it does not fall into oblivion, as this customization is what I love from Plasma and why I have used it since KDE version 1.
