Screenshot of rendering failure.

SUMMARY

Falkon is having a graphical issue on one of my systems. When any webpage loads in the browser, it does not render correctly, only showing as an all white screen, no matter what page is loaded.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Open Falkon (using any Window or Display manager)
2. Try to load any webpage

OBSERVED RESULT

Webpages will not render correctly, only displaying a white screen, while any site buttons and interfaces are still functional.

EXPECTED RESULT

Webpage should render correctly.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Linux: Manjaro Linux 64-bit
LXQt Version: 2.10
Qt Version: 5.15.16

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

I attempted to open Falkon and get a rendered page in LXQt, Xfce, and Enlightenment; with no change. System restarts have no effect.

Correction: QT version should be 6.9.0. I checked the version incorrectly.
Comment 2 John Kizer 2025-04-15 03:24:06 UTC
Hi - there is an upstream bug in Qt 6.9 that is affecting things here - the Qt bug report being worked on is located here: https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-135786

And a KDE Discuss topic with a workaround in the meantime is located here: https://discuss.kde.org/t/some-of-my-kde-apps-arent-working-properly/32522/11?u=johnandmegh

Hope that helps!
