SUMMARY When native (e.g. debs on Neon) and non-native (e.g. snaps, or Flatpaks, or add-ons) updates are available, clicking on "update all" only updates non-native applications/add-ons/etc. Discover proceeds to update them and then presents the untouched list of native packages to update, so the user has to click on "update all" a second time. The user has to provide their password on the second round, too, despite having provided it the first time. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Click on "update all" when there are both native and non-native packages available for update OBSERVED RESULT Only non-native packages are updated; the user needs to click on "update all" and type their password again to update native packages. EXPECTED RESULT Everything is updated at once. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Neon KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.12.0 Qt Version: 6.8.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This might be Neon-specific; I can't reproduce it on Fedora KDE or KDE Linux.
I'm not able to reproduce this on Solus running on git-master, Neon Testing or Neon User
i can't reproduce this on unstable, testing or release. can you provide any more specifics about how we can reproduce this??
Not really, unless you give me specifics of what you want/need to know. I click on "update all" when there are e.g. packages and add-ons at the same time and it doesn't work, I'm not sure what more I can add to that. It is 100% reproducible on my system.
