Are you running a Beta version of k3b on purpose? 25.03.70 is not something a normal user should be using.
Created attachment 180210 [details] attachment-994876-0.html No, I am not running the beta version on purpose. I got it from the Ubuntu software centre. The version number is at the bottom of K3b's welcome page. Please complain to Ubuntu for giving you beta software.
I am working on this, the fix should publish soon.
please test --candidate
I uninstalled k3b then reinstalled using the Ubuntu Software. The version has changed to 25.04.0, however the problem remains.
I don't have an optical drive to test sorry. I added mount-observe plug and that didn't do the trick. Trying hardware-observe and removable-media now, will post when ready to test.
Please test the latest in stable
(In reply to Scarlett Moore from comment #8) > Please test the latest in stable The Ubuntu Software Center still gives the same error and has the version 25.04.0. However, when I uninstall and load it from the KDE website using the the Linux - ubuntu selection it works. The version is 21.12.3.

K3b snap is now fixed
Comment on attachment 180210 [details] attachment-994876-0.html Today, on May 5th, I removed the version that was downloaded from the KDE site. I installed the version from the Ubuntu software centre. The same bug occurred.
It worked for another developer that is helping with this. So I need your help. What kind of optical drive do you have? Internal/external? In a terminal please copy/paste output from the following commands snap info k3b snap connections k3b Thanks for your help in resolving this Scarlett
It worked this time. To test it I removed the KDE version that did work. I rebooted ( This was not done the last time I did the test). Then I installed from the Ubuntu software centre. I assume you will not need the requested information. Thanks for your help. Eric
