Description Steff 2025-04-09 06:40:46 UTC
SUMMARY

Immich is a free and self-hosted alternative to Google Photo. A Digikam integration could be beneficial for both open source projects. However, both work fine independently, so the wish list needs to be discussed in detail, e.g. sync workflow, up/download, meta-sync...?

Project: https://immich.app/
Repo: https://github.com/immich-app/immich
API: https://immich.app/docs/api/
Demo: https://demo.immich.app
I could provide a server side dev environment if needed

Mentionable: Immich has a built-in option to attach an external library (which works fine with the Digikam root folder, I use an rsync mirror). There are also some 3rd party community projects for sync: https://immich.app/docs/community-projects

A possible plugin might share some similarities to the Plugin-WebService-Google.

Let me know what you think. I'm also fine if we decide there is no need, as projects do a good job independently.

I second this request! I use immich and would find value in publishing images to Immich via plugin.
