Created attachment 180065 [details] Recent Files KCM SUMMARY The list of applications within the Recent Files KCM shows several issues (maybe these could be separate issues, but I wasn't sure if they were related): - The list isn't sorted in any recognisable manner - Some applications show up in the list multiple times - Some applications show up with no icons and with all lower-case names (filenames?) STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Run System Settings 2. Navigate to Recent Files 3. (Optional, but makes the list easier to see, and makes it scrollable) Select "Remember opened documents: Only for specific applications" OBSERVED RESULT The list of applications is not sorted, contains duplicates, contains entries with generic icons and named like "/usr/libexec/xdg-portal-kde" or "org.kde.systemsettings". EXPECTED RESULT The list of applications is sorted alphabetically, doesn't contain duplicates, all entries have recognisable icons and human-readable names. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20250403 KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.12.0 Qt Version: 6.8.2 Kernel Version: 6.14.0-1-default (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11
I do not have any duplicate entries. What I do have is: - entries with missing icons - missing entries e.g. Okular was installed just recently and seemingly was not added to the list of apps. When I opened Okular, it showed a list of recent files, even though my settings were always set to "Do not remember".
