pas possible de réduit en largeur du champs libellé.

La largeur du champs utilise une trop grande large. Espace utiliser pour rien.

The screenshot is of DigiKam
This looks like a feature request to allow the "label" pane to be resized

Le même problème se présente également avec digikam sous windows avec la version pour  linux.

Have you seen Bug 501545? You can collapse the new widgets in the People tab, Label tab, and Tags tab (all three), then you can reduce their size as before. The issue is translation-dependent. We've instructed the translators to make it possible to translate it in short text. However, it will take some time to resolve this.
