When using kickoff, the category called "All Applications" is not using the 22px icon by default from the icon pack. Instead, it is taking its icon from the 32px folder. This is inconsistent as changes to the 22px or 24px collection leaves this icon unaffected by the change. Only when I replaced the icon in the 32px folder, kickoff rendered the icon properly in the sidebar. I can reproduce this issue when using the WIP Breeze Next icon theme. It's using the "applications-all-symbolic" icon, and I see there is a 22px version in the theme. However I also see the same issue in other apps that use this icon: for example on the Shortcuts KCM after clicking "Add New". This means it's an issue with the 22px version of that icon in the icon theme. Maybe it's a broken SVG or something.
It is possible. Yes. When I reviewed the icon pack, it didn't seem to me like the current breeze install had problems with this svg. It could be bad in some way and the system is falling back to 32px.
