Created attachment 179928 [details] Screenshots Problem Description: When generating a net worth report for a specific date in KMyMoney (version 5.1.3 on Ubuntu 24.10), I noticed that opening balances are automatically included. This leads to an apparent duplication of values and distorts the net worth distribution. Steps to Reproduce the Issue: Create a new account with a defined opening balance. Enter additional transactions after the opening date. Generate a net worth report for a specific date. Observe that the report includes the opening balance, which doubles the total value of assets/liabilities. Impact: This automatic inclusion of opening balances distorts financial analysis by doubling the values of affected accounts, making the reports less reliable for decision-making. Suggested Improvement: It would be beneficial to add an option allowing users to exclude opening balances from the net worth report for a specific date, ensuring a more accurate representation of the current financial situation. Additional Information: KMyMoney Version Used: 5.1.3 Operating System: Ubuntu 24.10 I am available to provide additional information or to test potential solutions.
Can you please try if you can duplicate the problem with the current development version. You can test this alongside your current installation. See https://kmymoney.org/appimage.html for instructions. I am asking because I was unable to duplicate the problem using that version.

Hello, After testing the proposed development AppImage version (KMyMoney 5.1.92-8f5cf1c), I noticed that the issue with the automatic inclusion of opening balances in the net worth report seems to be resolved in this version. Thank you for your work and the improvements made! Important Feature Suggestion: Would it be possible to add an option to display both the amount and its percentage directly on the chart? This would make visual data analysis easier. Please refer to the attached screenshot for an overview of the result. Best regards,
