Description zxkmm 2025-03-30 00:58:05 UTC
SUMMARY
The KDE lock screen (not SDDM) sometimes not responding after type password and then try login

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. In KDE menu, click `Lock` or `Leave`
2. Wake up computer, it pops out a login interface, which looks like SDDM (but slightly different so I can tell it's not SDDM)
3. Input correct password, click `>` or hit Enter

OBSERVED RESULT
It's not responding (I can see password placeholder added when I'm typing, but nothing works besides that and context buttons). I have to click "Switch User" to go back to the *real* SDDM, then input my password, then login.

EXPECTED RESULT
Successfully login

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.3 (issue exists for long since Plasma6)
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.12.0 (issue exists for long since Plasma6)
Qt Version: 6.8.2 (issue exists for long since Plasma6)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- It is not Caps Lock (or similar keyboard thing) causing me inputting wrong password
