SUMMARY

In some GTK3 applications, there is a gap between the menu and submenu, as shown in the screenshot.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  Open GTk3 application with menubar (e.g. Galculator).
2.  Open menuitem with submenu.

OBSERVED RESULT

Visible gap between menu and submenu.

EXPECTED RESULT

Submenu should be close to menu, like in Breeze Qt.

I am able to see this on git-master with DeaDBeeF. (Galculator isn't available on Solus and hasn't seen an update in 10 years, so I couldn't test that)

In DeaDBeeF go to Playback - Shuffle, the gap is visible with the Breeze GTK theme
With the Default and Space-dark themes, the submenu overlaps the parent menu a little

It does seem like there's a miscalculation going on
