SUMMARY When trying to create a new line on an XML file on macOS Sequoia, Kate will crash instead of creating the new line. When running Kate in the terminal, it provides no data on what could've caused the crash, just `zsh: killed /Applications/kate.app/Contents/MacOS/kate`. This doesn't seem to be present with other file types, only XML. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open an XML file in Kate on a macOS Sequoia system 2. Try to create a new line in the file 3. Kate crashes OBSERVED RESULT When creating a new line in an XML, kate crashes. EXPECTED RESULT A new line to be created. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS macOS: macOS Sequoia 15.3.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This may be a system specific issue, as I am running on a Hackintosh with an AMD CPU, however, I do believe this is a bug in general on Kate, as it'd be quite weird for AMD to be causing some weird issue with Kate on macOS.
Can you get some backtrace for the crash?
Setting the status to reflect the need for a backtrace, thanks!
