I've got a couple of suggestions for the "Aspect Ratio" parameter in Clip Properties: - It'd be clearer if it was called "Pixel Aspect Ratio" instead. So to not be confused by users with "Image Aspect Ratio" (16:9, 4:3, etc.) - It'd also be useful to have a drop-down menu there, showing the most common used ratios, and maintaining the option to enter a Custom PAR if desired. Here's an example of what such a menu would contain: name in menu ratio decimal ----------------------------------------- Square pixels 1:1 (1.0) D1/DV NTSC 4:3 10:11 (0.9091) D1/DV NTSC 16:9 40:33 (1.2121) D1/DV PAL 4:3 11:9 (1.0940) D1/DV PAL 16:9 16:11 (1.4587) Anamorphic 2:1 2:1 (2.0) HD Anamorphic 1080 4:3 (1.333) DVCPRO HD 3:2 (1.5) Custom Thanks for listening!
struggling with tabs in that table `:-) (preview doesn't show it as it finally looks when posted) let's give it another try: name in menu ratio decimal ---------------------------------------------- Square pixels 1:1 (1.0) D1/DV NTSC 4:3 10:11 (0.9091) D1/DV NTSC 16:9 40:33 (1.2121) D1/DV PAL 4:3 11:9 (1.0940) D1/DV PAL 16:9 16:11 (1.4587) Anamorphic 2:1 2:1 (2.0) HD Anamorphic 1080 4:3 (1.333) DVCPRO HD 3:2 (1.5)
