Currently, kwin has supported upstream Wayland color management protocol and also HDR display. So we need spectacle to also support HDR screenshot.

capture of HDR and SDR image

I tried to take a screen capture of an HDR image(youtube video paused) and SDR.  The result was actually worse than the SDR version. It seemed to have a lot less color detail than the SDR image.

Visually on my screen the HDR image looked great and had obviously more color detail than the SDR image.

I did edit the image afterwards to crop it and add annotations, but this did affect the colors in the image at all.
