Is it perhaps the path contains an unallowed character f:\$f\....? I tried again with a new folder in a path not containing the folder $f and it works.

The "&" character is one of the invalid characters in Windows file names.

The character is a Dollar ($) but may be this is as well not allowed within Digikam.
