But after finishing the setup dialog no database files are generated there and Digikam doesn't start . Is it perhaps the path contains an unallowed character f:\$f\....? I tried again with a new folder in a path not containing the folder $f and it works. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. see above 2. 3. The character is a Dollar ($) but may be this is as well not allowed within Digikam.
