Description Riccardo Robecchi 2025-03-21 09:10:32 UTC
SUMMARY
using the "find" function yields no results if the matching words are before the cursor. This is contrary to expectations as the find function should look throughout the whole document, irrespective of where the cursor is: if I am looking for something while writing, there is actually a significant chance that it is going to be *before* the cursor, rather than after it.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Write anything.
2. Without moving the cursor (i.e. having it at the end), use the "find" function to look for a word you have previously written.

OBSERVED RESULT
No results are found.

EXPECTED RESULT
Results are found.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Neon
KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.3

Cannot replicate this bug. Did you hit the enter key or use the "Find next" arrow (Looks like a "down" arrow)?

What version of ghostwriter are you using? The latest is 24.12.3. Please try to upgrade if you are not on this version.
