When I press meta+tab to open the activity switcher, all I see is a gray screen instead of my wallpaper, with only icons and no application previews.

SUMMARY
Numerous graphical faults on KDE after latest Kframeworks update, all over the plasma shell. The most notable ones are empty dropdown menus on window manager, grayed out user profile picture everywhere in plasmashell (but notably not SDDM, where the profile picture displays as expected. The most obvious flaw, however, is that all widgets are missing images, along with the widget/desktop manager showing a gray screen instead of my wallpaper.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. View user settings to observe missing profile pic
2. Open activity switcher to observe every thing being gray/no application previews

OBSERVED RESULT
No images or graphics visible.

EXPECTED RESULT
User profile picture and widget previews displaying properly

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

KDE Plasma Version: 6.33
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.12.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I realize the explanation I gave may be poor, so I attached some screenshots.

Update: fixed. somehow my qtquicksettings set the renderer from "auto" to "software". Bizarre, since I don't recall doing that. Regardless, user error on my part, switching back to auto and relogging fixed all issues.
