The digikam 8.6 tarball available at https://download.kde.org/stable/digikam/8.6.0/digiKam-8.6.0.tar.xz has a wrong version defined:

# digiKam version
set(DIGIKAM_MAJOR_VERSION "8")
set(DIGIKAM_MINOR_VERSION "7")
set(DIGIKAM_PATCH_VERSION "0")
